Mayor says Amazon Fresh closed in North Riverside; village expects leasing prospects and schedules public hearing for comprehensive plan

The mayor added that leasing managers are in talks with potential prospects to occupy the location. The mayor also urged residents to provide input on the comprehensive planning task force by attending a public hearing scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m.
In the same report the mayor described infrastructure updates including new street lighting poles on Des Plaines by the railroad, a pedestrian pole on the west side of Des Plaines just south of the tracks, and that new village entrance signs are 60% manufactured with brickwork to be completed this spring.
