Following a closed session that included attorney consultation and personnel matters, the Rockport‑Fulton ISD Board of Trustees reconvened and took multiple formal actions. Trustees approved settlement agreements discussed in executive session and authorized Superintendent Dr. Lesley Austin to execute the agreements (motion carried 4–0 with President Kenny Cruzan recorded as abstaining). Trustee Bonni Randall moved the settlement authorization, seconded by Logan Burton.
The board also unanimously delegated authority to the Superintendent or her designee to select a delivery method for the RFISD Central Administration Building Project under Texas Government Code Chapter 2269 and to select, negotiate, and enter into agreements with licensed architects/engineers pursuant to Chapters 2254 and 2269. Trustees adopted the latest prevailing wage rates for Aransas County in accordance with the Davis‑Bacon Act and voted to terminate the Chapter 21 term contract of Cynthia Begley; those latter motions carried 5–0.
