At its July 7, 2026 special meeting in Ropesville, the ROPES ISD board recorded seven board members present (Chad Brooks; Donnie Halpain; Keila Ketchersid; Tysen Mortensen; Chad Partington; Donald Rhoads; Blake Thrash). Superintendent Dade Cosby and representatives from candidate firms were also in attendance. The meeting opened at 6:00 PM; Keila Ketchersid gave the invocation and the public comment period saw no participation.
Under agenda items 4.a and 4.b, the board heard presentations from Pharr & Company Construction and McCutchin Construction related to RFQ/RFP 2026-001. The board then voted to adopt a resolution ranking the CMAR candidates and awarding Teinert Construction the CMAR role. The motion, made by Keila Ketchersid and seconded by Tysen Mortensen, carried with a recorded vote of 7-0. The superintendent is authorized to negotiate contract terms with the ranked firm per the Texas Government Code provisions cited on the agenda.
