Ms. Aggie Reyes read the National School Breakfast Week proclamation. Josue Palomino recognized Spanish Spelling Bee winners; Leticia De Santos recognized GT Q-BEC divisional winners from Alfonso Borrego Sr. Elementary; Melissa Nunn recognized Career & Technical Education students who competed in BPA, SkillsUSA and HOSA events; Laura Chavez and Alexander Corona recognized fine-arts participants (Starlettes, Ballet Folklorico, Mariachi Aguilas); and Dr. Jeannie Meza-Chavez recognized Mr. Jeffery Seay as an Elephant Award medal recipient.
Board members and the superintendent thanked staff and students for their achievements. These recognitions were presented early in the meeting as part of regular district acknowledgments.
