Royse City ISD trustees used part of the May 11 agenda to honor students and staff. The board recognized Valedictorian Nathaniel Haynor and Salutatorian Kole Kyrias, members of the Class of 2026 Top Ten, Top Dog Awards & Influential Educators, and four TAFE award recipients. District and campus Teachers of the Year and members of multiple leadership cohorts were also acknowledged.
The superintendent's report listed the district's current enrollment as 10,278 students. Presentations included a campus spotlight from Dr. Jared Smith, principal of HH Browning Achievement Center, and Scott Merry, principal of Royse City High School. Jack Ream (NorthStar Builders) and Brie Kayser (Chief Technology Officer) provided a construction and bond update during the superintendent's report.
