Mr. Davis (S12) reported the district solicited bids for 109 decommissioned teacher laptops purchased in 2019–2020 and recommended selling them to Ingram Micro, which returned the highest pricing among four respondents. "The final amount paid to Scottsbluff Public Schools will be determined after the vendor gets the devices and grades them," Davis said, adding that Ingram Micro guaranteed a minimum price of $13,006.78.
Davis said the district conducts a pre-assessment and expects many devices will rate Grade A or B; the laptops will be categorized by condition and vendors pay according to grading. The motion to sell to Ingram Micro was made, seconded and approved by the board.
