Board elects Reising president, Merrigan vice president in annual reorganization

Chair called for nominations for president and, after a motion and second, the board voted to elect Reising to a one-year term. "We have a motion that Scott Reising be elected as president to serve a term of 1 year or until the person's successor is elected and qualified," the Chair stated during the vote. The motion passed by voice vote.
The board approved committee assignments for curriculum and instruction, facilities, finance, student services and policy, and ratified several special appointments. Board members emphasized that routine monthly policy reviews remain an important governance function despite the annual approvals. The reorganization concluded with routine administrative designations and a move to new business.
