Board asks staff to gather feedback on two draft 2025–26 calendars

During the Superintendent’s Report, Dr. Langman presented two draft 2025–26 school calendars that differ on whether SIP (School Improvement Plan) days and late-start days should occur on Wednesdays or Fridays. Board members requested a single consistent weekly day for late start/SIP and asked staff to solicit feedback from employees and the community.
Dr. Langman asked members to indicate whether they will support Vision 2030 at the January meeting; the Vision 2030 overview was presented as a statewide advocacy framework. The calendar feedback will be shared at the January BOE meeting ahead of any calendar approval action.
