San Saba ISD approves trustee election orders and joint election with city

San Saba Independent School District trustees voted unanimously on Feb. 9 to call a Trustee Election for the district and to enter a Joint Election Agreement with the City of San Saba.
Stuart Isham moved to approve the Joint Election Agreement, a motion that Donny Smith seconded; the board recorded a 7-0 vote in favor. The board later voted 7-0 to approve and adopt an order authorizing the Board of Trustees to call the Trustee Election. The district’s Election Day is set for May 2, 2026; the filing window noted on the record runs from Jan. 14, 2026 (first day to file) through Feb. 13, 2026 (last day to file).
Superintendent communications also included scheduling the March school board meeting for March 9, 2026. The board provided no further amendments to the election timeline at the meeting.
