At the Oct. 7 workshop the board previewed actions planned for the Oct. 21 regular meeting, including minutes, financial reports, a bills list, a settlement agreement between the Woodland Park Board of Education and the WPEA, and a contract with a service described as "Geese Police." Dr. Joe Giammarella said the Business Administrator and the Board Attorney are consulting regarding the public hearing on the employment of Dr. Pillari.
Board members asked questions about the effectiveness of the Geese Police service; Dr. Mark Salemi said that if the service is not effective, "the money could be used better elsewhere," and Dr. Pillari said the service "is not perfect but does help" and that alternatives can be considered for next year. The board signaled these items will be presented for action at the Oct. 21 regular meeting.
