The Woodland Park Board of Education approved out-of-district special-education placements for both the 2024 ESY program and the 2024–2025 school year during the Sept. 23 workshop.
For ESY (7/1/24–7/26/24) the board approved three placements at the South Bergen Jointure Commission (student IDs 33039, 34032, 34612) at $4,250 each, excluding transportation. For the 2024–2025 school year the board approved two South Bergen Jointure Commission placements (IDs 33039 and 34032) at $63,390 each and one placement (ID 34612) at $61,470. Additionally the board approved a placement for ID 34892 at Allegro School from Sept. 23 to the end of the school year at a cost of $98,994 (168 days) plus $31,080 for an aide. The motions were moved by Julissa Rodriguez, seconded by Shannon Marren and recorded as Roll Call: 5 YES.
