Commissioner Brown presented the application of Great Basin Water Company in Docket No. 241-2003 and summarized the order on reconsideration and the modified final order. Brown said the matter concerns Great Basin’s request to consolidate and adjust annual water and sewer service rates across the Pahrump, Spring Creek, Cold Springs and Spanish Springs divisions and that the Commission’s June 24, 2025 final order is the subject of the reconsideration.
"Put succinctly, the Commission grants Great Basin's and staff's petitions for reconsideration, generally affirms its original order, provides requested clarifications and corrects minor errors contained in the 06/24/2025 final order," Commissioner Brown said. Brown highlighted that the reconsideration fixes typographical and citation errors, clarifies directives on including class cost-of-service studies in future rate case filings, and clarifies the Commission's position on basic service charges. Commissioner Brown moved that the Commission "grant the petitions for reconsideration and clarification as provided by the draft order and issue the appropriate orders." Chair Haley Williamson seconded and the commission recorded a unanimous vote in favor; the motion carried.
The action resolves pending technical clarifications in the June 24 order and directs issuance of the modified final order. The commission did not record eligible public comment on this docket at the meeting.
