Salt Creek School District 48 presented its Strategic Plan for 2024 during the Sept. 19 meeting. The plan, developed in collaboration with Silver Lining Learning, consolidates stakeholder input and data review into four work areas: Academic Achievement; Inclusion and Culture; Facilities and Finance; and Communication and Community Engagement.
District staff said the plan arose from stakeholder interviews, data reviews and focus groups involving teachers, staff, students and parents. The presentation summarized goals and action plans for each work area, including measures tied to i-Ready results, a review of curriculum implementation and targeted professional development. The plan document states the district will "continue and re-emphasize" professional learning communities and pursue a predictable review process for key progress indicators.
The board received the presentation for information and discussion; staff said additional goal-level action steps and timelines will be shared as the plan moves into implementation.
