District human-resources staff presented an extensive list of resignations and retirements for the 2025–26 school year. The list includes teachers, campus administrators, counselors, special-services staff and others with varying reasons recorded: personal reasons, certification requirements, relocation, other employment and retirement.
Notable entries include Dr. Michael Duffek, principal at the Mercer-Blumberg Learning Center at Saegert, whose resignation is effective May 22, 2026; and Abigail Montes, District Lead Counselor, who "has been with Seguin ISD for 22 years" and has elected to retire effective June 30, 2026. Several other staff members across elementary, middle and high school campuses listed one- to eight-year tenures; the minutes record each person’s campus, role and effective date.
The item was presented as an informational personnel report; the board did not take separate action on individual resignations during the meeting as recorded in the minutes.
