Lewis County to push digital maps, stop routine mailing unless paid

Officials told the committee the permit form will be consolidated and modernized to reduce errors and staff work. The Chair said the JotForm will look similar but will remove the previous discount options and include a club-membership selection so clubs can receive reimbursement emails when copies sell.
"The form's gonna look similar, but instead of the discount, it's do you wanna buy a club membership and you can buy all of them or 1 of them," the Chair said, describing the form changes. Staff also said they will continue to provide GPS downloads and PDFs for Garmin and Onyx devices and will keep the map inserts on the county website.
The committee agreed to stop mailing maps by default; mailed maps will be available for an additional $10 to cover postage and printing. Officials said McKenna will verify address entries and only mail a physical map when the entry is complete and the buyer pays the extra fee.
