Chair Haley Williamson introduced docket 25‑02032, describing the joint application of Nevada Power Company (d/b/a NV Energy) and Sierra Pacific Power Company (d/b/a NV Energy) seeking approval to recover regulatory-asset costs for their joint Natural Disaster Protection Plan. "The draft order before you recommends granting the petitions for clarification and reconsideration and reaffirming the Commission's order issued 09/19/2025," she said.
After brief opportunity for questions — none were raised — the Chair moved to grant the petitions for clarification and reconsideration, reaffirm the prior order and issue the appropriate order. The motion was seconded and carried on a voice vote. The draft order was accepted as filed; no additional briefing or modifications were made on the record during the meeting.
The action resolves outstanding cost‑recovery issues identified in the prior proceedings and implements the draft order's direction; Commissioners did not discuss adjustments to rate‑payer cost allocation during the public meeting.
