Constable in rapidly growing Precinct 4 asks for deputies, vehicles and modern MDTs as civil cases spike

Constable Flores (Precinct 4) told the court Precinct 4 has experienced population growth and rising civil-process demands and said from January through May this year "civil process is up 7.9%" while repossessions, writs and executions have increased by larger percentages. She recounted recent high-risk incidents involving armed subjects and aggressive dogs and said the precinct sometimes lacks the deputies needed to respond without sheriff's office assistance.
To respond, Flores requested a package including four 2026 police-rated 4x4 Chevy Tahoes, two deputy positions (with two Tahoes tied to that package), 10 rugged mobile data terminals and four mobile routers, prisoner cages for Dodge Chargers, ballistic vests, patrol rifles and other outfitting so deputies can operate safely and reliably in growing and higher-risk areas.
