The Comal County Commissioners Court approved several planning and surety actions on May 22, including an amendment to the plat for Riverchase Unit 8 (combining Lots 1412 and 1413), acceptance of bond extensions for the Overlook at Canyon Lake subdivision, acceptance of bond K41846215 for The Landing Unit 1 and final approval of a plat severing a 4.43-acre tract. Staff recommended approval on each item citing complete applications or near-complete construction conditions.
For Simmons Valley Phase 1, the court accepted an amendment extending two irrevocable standby letters of credit as surety for construction and authorized the county judge to sign associated agreements. Staff explained separation of surety responsibilities where portions inside and outside right-of-way require distinct sureties. Each item was approved on motion and second without recorded opposition.
