Board approves Yondr pouch pilot for grades 5–8 to curb device distractions

Under the proposed program, students would secure devices in Yondr pouches upon arrival and carry the pouch through the day; pouches would be unsealed at dismissal. The agenda notes a $30 replacement fee for lost or damaged pouches and a protocol for forgotten pouches or mid-day arrivals.
The Board’s approval authorizes district staff to implement the pilot and proceed with procurement and communication to families about the new procedure.
