Superintendent Ken Tharman reported that he and district employee Mitch Pugh "had flown from Grand Island to Dallas to pick up the activity bus," and that bus drivers reviewed routes for the coming year. PreK-8 Principal/Transportation Director Marvin Gebhard told trustees that all but three vehicles passed inspection — one vehicle remained in Kearney, one failed for a headlight and another for a dead battery — and that repairs and reinspections will be completed.
The meeting packet and voucher list show a carport order with Viking Steel Structures and a 20% down payment of $2,357.10 (voucher/check listing). Summer projects completed or underway include concrete work by Cutting Edge Concrete Design, carpet work by Carpet One, emergency and regular lighting updates, a repaired baseball field fence and roof repairs by Roofmasters following last year’s hail damage (SEG 029; vouchers and quotes appended).
