The Northern Valley USD 212 Board of Trustees voted 6-0 on Aug. 12 to approve the district Faculty Handbook as presented. The motion was recorded as made by Steven Whitney and seconded by Rich Wenzl; the clerk recorded the unanimous vote.
The approved handbook — included with the meeting packet — contains district policy and operational language covering recruitment and contracts, leave rules, safety and security, curriculum and grading procedures, student health and medication protocols and many other personnel and instructional procedures. The board packet notes the handbook is an extension of district policy and will guide daily operations and staff expectations for the coming school year. The motion to approve appears in the minutes under new business (SEG 117–125).
