Board approves resignations and new professional recommendations after executive session

Board President Kelly R. Ballin reconvened the meeting to open session at 8:16 p.m. The items reported for action included approval of professional resignations and approval of professional recommendations across multiple categories: classroom teachers, counselors for Barrera Elementary, Jo Nelson Middle School and the high school, school nurses, a librarian, a Gear‑Up coordinator and a Dean of Instruction. The motions to approve resignations and recommendations were recorded as carried 6–0.
The board cited Texas Government Code §§551.071, 551.072, 551.074 and 551.082 as the legal authorities for the executive session topics that preceded the open‑session actions.
