Santa Rosa ISD board holds public hearing on 2023-24 TAPR; highlights graduation rate and assessment gaps

Presenters highlighted gaps between district and regional/state averages on several STAAR measures, attendance figures below regional/state rates for 2022-23 (district attendance 89.8% vs. region 92.7%, state 93.3%), and the district's accountability status and special education determination as "Meets Requirements." The board provided an email window for public comments and adjourned the hearing at about 6:23 p.m.
