Comal County releases RFQ to hire new public health authority after retirement

The purchasing office said it prepared the RFQ with Cheryl Frazier and the district attorney's office and requested court approval to release it.
As stated in the meeting, the RFQ schedule sets a deadline for questions on "August 8 at 5PM" and a response deadline of "August 19 by 2PM." Public-health staff explained they encountered barriers when the state lawyer would not permit the state-appointed authority to sign certain county documents, prompting the RFQ.
