Commissioners approve voluntary Allstate supplemental benefits for employees

The court approved voluntary, employee-paid Allstate accident, critical illness and cancer policies effective Oct. 1, 2025, with premiums and benefits remaining unchanged, on a motion by Commissioner Leacock and second by Commissioner Hogg.
County human-resources staff asked the court to approve voluntary Allstate group accident, group critical illness and group cancer policies for plan year 2025–26. Ms. Hettinger told the court that the offerings are employee-paid supplemental benefits and that premiums and benefits "will remain the same." The court approved the item by motion.
HR staff said no county-paid premium increases were requested; participation and administration remain employee-paid. The item passed on a motion by Commissioner Leacock, seconded by Commissioner Hogg.
