Board members also approved consultant fees for various Bond 2023 projects and authorized necessary documents to be signed. The board approved additional contractor scope for high school CTE and existing portables submitted by TELLESPEN for sums of $82,625 and $79,560.60, and later approved an additional scope for Royal Junior High for $497,232.41, all confirmed as funded by Bond 2023. The board voted to approve a pool of architects for future district projects that included Huckabee, Parkhill, PBK, Pfluger, VLK and WRA.
During discussion about rescinding a prior agreement in favor of the JOC approach, a meeting participant, Nadia Hobart, said the change was chosen because "it was more economical to change the delivery method." The motions authorizing the JOC and the contract changes passed on recorded votes as noted in the minutes.
