Municipal Services reported a rise in landfill tipping fees that will increase trash bills by $5.79 per quarter; water rates will increase by 1.75% under the utility adjustments announced at the Nov. 11 meeting. Council recorded these changes as informational items and moved forward with administrative steps to implement them.
Public Works was authorized to post excess equipment for sale on Municibid after a motion from Dennis Klinedinst and second by Mark Holloway; Council voted in favor. The sale is intended to remove surplus equipment from Borough inventory and possibly recoup modest revenue for the capital replacement fund.
No detailed revenue projections for the equipment sale were presented at the meeting; staff will proceed with the Municibid listing and return with results and receipts when sales occur.
