Santa Gertrudis ISD board approves policy update, TEKS certification, budget amendments and administrator contracts

The Santa Gertrudis ISD Board of Trustees met Monday, March 23, 2026, at the SGISD Central Office in Kingsville and approved several routine governance items including a local policy update, curricular certification, budget amendments and administrator contracts. Board member April Grigg moved to approve the board update to BBB (Local); Carmen Falcon seconded and the motion passed 5–0 with two members absent.

Board member Francis Regalado moved to approve the 2026–2027 Instructional TEKS Certification Form/Survey; April Grigg seconded and the motion passed unanimously among members present. The board also approved budget amendments on a motion by Carmen Falcon, seconded by Jesse Garcia, and adopted the consent agenda—finance reports and the Feb. 23, 2026 minutes—on a motion by Francis Regalado, seconded by Jesse Garcia. In open session following a closed session on personnel matters, the board voted to approve administrator contracts for 2026–2027 on a motion by Jesse Garcia and seconded by April Grigg.
