Separately, the court approved creation of a temporary indigent‑health case coordinator position from July 19, 2025, to December 31, 2025, and authorized a line‑item transfer to cover personnel costs. Staff said the change is necessary after an unexpected staff absence in a department with only two employees and because jail claims handled by the unit have increased. The temporary employee has been performing essential duties and training for the role, staff said.
Both items were approved by motion and voice vote; staff indicated they would monitor grant funding and revisit budgets if state or federal support changes.
