The Village of Marlborough Board of Trustees on Aug. 12 approved wording updates to the Sewer Lateral Program ordinance after reviewing revisions returned from the village attorney.
Trustee J. Boergadine presented the ordinance revisions and moved to approve the updated wording; Trustee Hollander seconded and the motion passed by voice affirmation. The board previously discussed whether to increase sewer lateral fees because repair costs have risen and asked the clerk to research whether a fee increase would require ballot language or a public meeting.
The action was presented as a wording update rather than final fee adoption; Trustee Boergadine said the attorney supplied notes on the draft and the board will present the full ordinance for further consideration at a future meeting. The board did not adopt new fees at this session.
