Superintendent Michael Kissire reported to the board that a minor flood occurred at the secondary campus when a water line ruptured in an outside HVAC mechanical room. Water entered a lecture room, the library and Coach Favila's classroom; Servpro responded to clean and disinfect the affected floors.
Kissire also updated trustees that the district's cyberattack investigation has concluded and the majority of servers have been successfully restored, though one server remained offline at the time of the meeting. He thanked board members during Board Appreciation Month, saying, "Happy Board Appreciation Month. Thank you for Everything you do for the School District. Teachers are very thankful for all the support you all provide." Trustees were advised to consider potential February meeting dates and were reminded of a board training in Junction on Feb. 19, 2026.
