Board President Shanna Petty‑Castro reviewed proposed revisions to the Standard Operating Procedures for the SISD Board of Trustees. Trustee Cynthia Perez moved to approve the changes; Colby Bates seconded and the board approved the changes unanimously.
Trustees and Superintendent Michael Kissire discussed options for altering regular meeting days to avoid member conflicts and talked through potential benefits and next steps for creating an educational foundation to support district programs. No formal action was taken on meeting-day changes or the foundation during the Nov. 11 meeting.
The board entered closed session under Texas Government Code sections 551.074 (personnel) and 551.076 (security devices or audits) at 6:36 p.m. and reconvened at 7:36 p.m. After returning to open session, Trustee Colby Bates moved to allocate votes for specific candidates to the Sutton County Appraisal District Board of Directors in accordance with board wishes; John Jones seconded the motion and the allocation was approved unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
