Snyder ISD considers MOUs with Cogdell Memorial Hospital and Star Tech for health services and career pathways

Snyder ISD's superintendent presented two memoranda of understanding at the May 14 workshop: one with Cogdell Memorial Hospital to strengthen student health services, mental and behavioral health supports, athletic performance services and healthcare career pathways; and one with Star Tech Group, LLC to implement the ACCESS platform for college, career and military readiness (CCMR).
The Cogdell MOU was presented as cost-free to the district and emphasizes coordination with medical professionals, internships, job shadowing and connections to local workforce needs. The Star Tech MOU is framed as a tool to systematize career exploration, individualized graduation planning and connections to internships and financial-aid resources. Both items were presented for board consideration; no final vote on the MOUs was recorded in the minutes as action items during this workshop.
