SNYDER ISD board certifies May 2 election; two new trustees sworn in

The SNYDER ISD Board of Trustees certified the results of the May 2, 2026 school board election at its May 12 budget workshop. Brad Hinton, president of the board, read the results and a motion to approve the canvass was made by Doug Neff and seconded by Michael Rodriquez; the motion passed with six affirmative votes (Chad Arnwine, Michael Rodriquez, Doug Neff, Brad Hinton, Ralph Ramon and Jennifer Taylor).
Following certification, Nick Barboza and Haley Leatherwood read their Statements of Elected Officer and were administered the oath of office, becoming the new trustees for Place 4 and Place 5. The swearing-in was ceremonial and required no additional board vote. The meeting began at 5:00 p.m. and adjourned at 5:14 p.m.
