Engineer Jeff Shue told the Oct. 7 work session that contracts have been signed for the Municipal Parking Lot wall repair at 33 W. Broadway and work should begin within the month. A preconstruction meeting will be scheduled with the contractor before work begins.
Council members asked whether the guardrail behind the lot could be moved to provide more room. Shue said the replacement wall is expected to be 8–10 feet deep and suggested that moving the guardrail likely is not feasible within the existing footprint; he said the contractor will ultimately determine whether adjustments are possible.
Next steps: the borough will hold a preconstruction meeting in advance of work and the contractor will confirm site logistics and guardrail feasibility; no vote or contract change was recorded at the Oct. 7 work session.
