At a special closed session on Oct. 20, 2025, the Saint Helena Unified School District Board of Trustees met to confer with district labor negotiators on negotiations involving unrepresented employees, the St. Helena Teachers Association (SHTA) and the California School Employees Association (CSEA). President Laura Symon reported that "the board participated in a discussion and provided staff with direction."
The closed-session agenda listed district negotiators as Dr. Jodi McClay, Mr. Chris Heller and Dr. Kay Vang and cited Government Code 54957.6, the statute authorizing confidential negotiations with employee representatives.
