Town hears update after Oostburg fire truck incident; sheriff reports 36 contract hours, 7 citations

In the interim, OFD is using a truck Adell Fire Department listed for sale on a lease‑to‑own basis. A new truck for OFD is expected to be delivered in 2027.
Supervisor Morrison reported Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department contract statistics: 36 hours worked last month, 26 complaints responded to, 31 warnings issued and seven traffic citations. Oostburg Fire Department trustees met July 8 to consider a governance proposal from Oostburg Emergency Medical Responders.
