The Holland Plan Commission on July 6 voted unanimously to recommend that the Town Board approve a land division and concurrent rezonings for N753 Six Mile Road. The commission's motion, moved by David Mueller and seconded by Roy Teunissen, would divide off 5.000 acres and rezone that parcel from A-1 to A-1-S and rezone 15.000 acres of the remaining parcel from A-1 to A-PR as shown on the certified survey map and rezoning exhibit submitted with the application.
Chair David Huenink opened a public hearing on the request, which was presented on behalf of the Donald Trust by applicant Sawyer DeRuyter. A signed attendee, Bobi Schultz, asked only for clarification of the location of the proposed 5.000-acre parcel; no other public comments were recorded. The Plan Commission recorded a unanimous roll-call recommendation in favor (all members voting Yes). The recommendation will be considered by the Town Board at its next meeting for final approval and ordinance adoption if approved.
