Board approves agenda, facilities change order and multiple administrative items

The Saint Helena Unified School District Board of Trustees opened its Oct. 9, 2025 meeting at 5:00 PM and approved the meeting agenda. President Laura Symon presided; the motion to approve the agenda was made by Trustee Jeannie Kerr and seconded by Trustee Jeanmarie Wolf, and the motion carried unanimously.
During the meeting the Board approved Change Order #01 for the St. Helena Primary School roof replacement and dry rot repair project and approved contracts over $25,000 for October 2025. The consent agenda — covering minutes, field trips, fundraisers, smaller contracts, accounts payable, and a notice of completion for the SHHS portable removal project — was approved. The Board also approved an amended Memorandum of Understanding between the district and the St. Helena Teachers Association (SHTA). Trustee Lisa Pelosi recused herself from the vote on Personnel Register #25-3 and was not present for that vote; the personnel register was approved by the remaining trustees.
