Trustees approved multiple administrative items on the agenda by unanimous votes.
The board approved the disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP) interlocal agreement for 2026-27; administration said the daily fiscal-agent rate remains $40 per student per day. Trustees also renewed the optional flexible school day program (FAST) for another year after presenters summarized outcomes: "We had 14 students that completed the FAST program and graduated in the 2526 school year," and staff reported 13 of the 14 graduates met CCMR requirements. The board approved the FAST renewal 6-0.
Administration also requested and the board granted a TEA low-attendance waiver for a weather-affected date (Jan. 26, 2026) so the district can claim eligible funding. Finally, the board approved a renewal contract with Innovative Network of Knowledge Inc. to continue Head Start classes at the district early childhood center; staff said the partnership brings about $300,000 in partner funds and the contract includes a $12,000 increase from last year.
