District administration told trustees the Wilson County Appraisal District (CAD) notified the district that it would consider rescinding or amending a planned facility purchase and that the CAD had scheduled a meeting for June 4 to review the acquisition. The district recommended the board decline the current proposed resolution to formally establish the district's position should the CAD be unable to proceed on the posted schedule. The board approved administration's recommendation on a 6-0 vote.
A CAD representative described plans to "take additional time to evaluate the potential acquisition of this facility or consider alternative options at a later date," and a second CAD official said he would recommend his board rescind the resolution to allow more time for outreach to taxing entities. Trustees discussed the timing and noted district budget pressures tied to enrollment and attendance as they considered the action.
