Florence authorizes pay request and moves forward on Phase III sewer additions on Hwy. 49

City Engineer Tim Parker presented project items related to the HWY 49 Eagle Post Road sanitary sewer additions. The board approved Pay Request #7 from Hemphill Construction Company, Inc. for Phase II work in the amount of $12,900.20; Alderman Brian Grantham moved, seconded by Alderman John Banks; Alderman Mason Herrin was recorded as not participating in that vote.
Separately, the board authorized and directed Mayor Trey Gunn to execute a contract with Thornton Construction Company, Inc. for the Phase III sanitary sewer additions project, contingent on the city attorney’s review. That authorization passed with Herrin again recorded as not participating. The minutes do not include contract dollar amounts or the attorney’s review findings.
