The Florence Mayor and Board on July 1 approved a slate of municipal appointments recommended by Mayor Trey Gunn. Actions included appointing Attorney Bobby Lingold as city attorney and prosecutor, Engineering Service (and an agreement for Tim Parker) as city engineer, Linda Wigley as city clerk, Windham & Lacey, PLLC as municipal auditors, and Alderman Brian Grantham as Mayor Pro-Tem (Grantham recorded an abstention on that vote).
In subsequent motions the board appointed Brad Burns as Police Chief, Melissa McCue as Court Clerk, Kevin Stewart as Municipal Judge, Witney Adams as Judge Pro-Tem, and Greg Hemphill as Indigent Attorney. Minutes show these appointments carried as recorded; the minutes do not include employment contracts or terms beyond appointment language.
