Supervisors hear operations update and resident concerns about curbs, debris and microphones

Grounds Superintendent Tim Gatz updated the board on operations, saying he will check on installation of an additional bench in Paleo Park and that mowing of certain retention areas has been adjusted; he said it will take time to evaluate whether those changes are sufficient. When asked about a homeowner's construction encroaching on an EDRA, Mr. Gatz confirmed the homeowner "obtained all the proper permits and approvals" and said the district will wait until construction is completed to determine if erosion issues arise.
During audience comments residents raised several non-agenda items: Joyce Welsh reported crumbling curbs and asked about landscape storm-debris removal from the streets; Chair Lonergan asked her to provide her address for inspection. Tim Sweeney asked about using microphones during meetings; Lonergan said she had submitted a request and Mr. Gatz asked to be copied on emails. Susan Napolitano questioned procurement practices and mosquito control; supervisors discussed whether residents or builders who install sprinklers into lakes should bear future maintenance and electricity costs.
