The Heritage Pines Board unanimously accepted the unaudited financial statements as of Aug. 31, 2024 at its Oct. 15 meeting. District Manager Chuck Adams told the board the district is opening a BankUnited Insured Cash Sweep (ICS) account to invest General Fund surplus funds.
During discussion Supervisor Michael Walsh asked whether SOLitude could be asked to compensate the CDD for what he described as poor performance. Mr. Adams said he would contact SOLitude and said he believes it would be reasonable to hold them 50% responsible; the board did not vote on any compensation demand and simply accepted the financial statements on a motion by Mr. Walsh, seconded by Ms. Vaughan.
