The Heritage Pines Community Development District on Dec. 10 adopted Resolution 2025‑02 to amend its Fiscal Year 2023/24 budget, reflecting a major equipment purchase and other adjustments. District Manager Chuck Adams told the board the amendment was necessary to account for a new lawnmower and related entries.
Adams reviewed revised budget columns showing actuals versus adopted figures and noted that "the 'Operations and maintenance - Contingencies' line item was increased by $20,000 in case additional journal entries occur; these funds will remain in Surplus Fund Balance if not needed." Chair Kathleen Lonergan said the district expects a $1,298 refund from the Tax Collector's Office to account for the difference between actual and amended amounts. The resolution was moved by Michael Walsh, seconded by Stephen Putman, and approved unanimously.
