Town readies water-main bid opening; approves two out-of-town hookups

The council also voted to allow two out-of-town water hook-ups on Westside Road after a motion by Councilmember Allenbaugh and a second by Councilmember Sandretto. The earlier Jan. 20 meeting had included inquiries from two out-of-town property owners about obtaining town water, and the Feb. 17 vote implemented that authorization.
No bid amounts or contractor selections were included in the minutes; the court of bids will open on March 5 and further council action will be required to award any contract.
