Council approves $30,433.49 final payment to JVI and authorizes up to $8,000 for N. Mill Street paving

Red Lion Borough Council approved a final payment request from JVI in the amount of $30,433.49 for street work on Chestnut and Pine Streets; Engineer Jeff Shue concurred with the payment. The motion to approve the payment was made by Dennis Klinedinst, seconded by Cindy Barley, and carried unanimously.
Council also reviewed two quotes for paving a section of N. Mill Street (W. Broadway to Summit Lane): Emory Peters quoted $7,950 and King James Asphalt quoted $6,500 (with a caveat that King James’ price may have depended on concurrent work in the area). Council authorized Public Works Director Brett Patterson to select the contractor of his choosing not to exceed $8,000; Mr. Hiester seconded and the motion carried.
