Airport considers $100,000 utilities master plan; board to seek CIB match

The Director reported the airport has a proposal from Lochner for a comprehensive utilities master plan covering water, sewer and buried infrastructure; the estimated cost is about $100,000 and the board discussed applying to the Community Impact Board (CIB) for a 50% match.
"It would be about a $100,000 just to have the utility master plan done," the Airport Director said, noting if the airport uses CIB funds it would provide half the cost and the board would need to identify the remaining match. The plan would locate existing pipes and evaluate whether current systems meet present and future demands for sewage and water.
Board members asked staff to present the scope at the next meeting and consider including the local match in the next budget cycle so the study could proceed in the first part of the coming year.
