The airport director told the board a disabled aircraft on the runway was removed without incident and that SkyDive Moab diverted to a crosswind while crews cleared the runway.
"We did have a disabled aircraft on the runway... it was resolved without incident," the Airport Director said. The director asked citizens to report FOD so staff can remove hazards quickly.
The director also described a recent capital purchase: a new FOD "razor" that tows behind a truck and picks up gravel and debris. "The one we had was starting to get pretty worn out... there were a couple of grand," the director said of the replacement cost. Staff said the old unit will be used until it is no longer functional.
On finances, staff summarized fuel flow: Jet A sales generate substantially more revenue than avgas. The director gave one example comparing roughly $5,600 from avgas to about $18,000 from Jet A on the front-page numbers, and said Jet A is "where the money is for the airport."
